"DB Khotyn" corn seeds
Main characteristics:
- Responds well to improving growing conditions;

Listed in the Register of Varieties of Ukraine since 2015.
The plant is 230-240 cm tall, the height of the cob attachment is 85-95 cm, does not bush, resistant to lodging.
The cob is 22-24 cm long, the number of rows of grains is 16-18, the stem is red.
The grain is yellow-orange, sometimes with red stripes, tooth-shaped. The weight of 1000 grains is 280-300 g.
The hybrid responds well to improved growing conditions, but tolerates drought well, and is characterized by high grain yield stability over the years.
Cultivation zones: Steppe, Forest Steppe, Polissia.
Recommended pre-selection density in the zone: Steppe 50-55, Forest-steppe 75-80, Polissi 90 thousand units/ha.
Features of seed production:
The seeds of the first generation in the hybridization areas are grown on a sterile basis according to the fertility restoration scheme. The recommended sowing schemes of parent components are 6: 2 or 4: 2. Sowing of parent components is simultaneous.
The average yield of the mother form is 4.48 t/ha, and the moisture content of the grain is 16.5%.
In order for the plant to develop properly and bring a good harvest, we recommend using humate concentrate fertilizers. This is a universal fertilizer based on potassium humate with the addition of a balanced complex of macro- and microelements.
Therefore, using this concentrate, you get the following advantages:
- Increase to harvest;
- You receive ecologically clean products;
- Contributes to the formation of a powerful root system.
In the fight against weeds, we recommend using the post-emergence herbicide Ramses (rimsulfuron, 250 g/kg). The advantages of this herbicide are:
- ease of use: does not spray, has no smell, low application rates (40-50 g/ha);
- excellent control of a wide range of grass and dicotyledonous weeds;
- long application period - from 1 to 7 leaves of culture;
- due to rapid decomposition in the soil (the half-life is 10 days), there are no restrictions on crop rotation.
Or systemic herbicide Alfa-Pyralid (clopyralid, 300 g/l). It acts quickly on weeds, is easily absorbed by leaves and roots, destroys both the above-ground part and the root system of weeds, in particular thistle, precipitation 2 hours after application does not affect the effectiveness of the drug.
